Workshop Series Summary

Week 1 - Find Your Journal
Discover what works best for you and explore different journaling techniques by asking the important questions. To diarise or not to diarise? Do you simply want to create a place to write down all your thoughts, plans and ideas? Build goals and habits? Be creative and/or explore visually? Combine a number of approaches? This session aims to give you a solid starting to point that feels realistic for your goals and your time constraints.

Week 2 - Molecular Mindset
One of the key reasons we journal is to manage and prioritise what is important to us and this is a unique process we each need to do for ourselves. We start by identifying the elements that make you, you. Once we have a comprehensive list we break this into groups that feel more manageable than the endless to do lists we all have at the back of our minds. Completing this process gives us a better understanding of our own unique ‘molecular’ structure and we can use this knowledge in our journaling practice, everyday thoughts and actions.

Week 3 - Liminal Reflection
This simple reflective practice helps us access what is going on beneath the surface of our everyday lives. Effective for reviewing each week, reflecting on particular moments in life, developing ideas and creative endeavours, and even as a dream analysis technique. Liminal reflection is a powerful journaling tool and ultimately helps us make more empowered choices in our day to day lives.

Week 4 - Integrated Journaling
In this session we review our journaling choices so far, sharing thoughts and experiences with one another and honing a bespoke approach that suits our individual needs. Journaling should be a sustainable practice, helping us to be more self aware, better organised, motivated and empowered. We look at how to integrate journaling into our our daily and weekly lives, exploring habit tracking, gratitude, mindfulness and other techniques that keep us coming back to journaling as a practice.
